I was a tad overwhelmed yesterday. I won’t go in to details except to say it involves an unhealed ankle incision (3 weeks now), last minute changes to school lesson plans (school starts in 2 weeks) and preparing to leave for the weekend without kids (meaning my SIL and BIL will be staying here).
‘Nough said.
And so the result was, I never got to the computer yesterday… well, except for the two hours I spent trying to figure out the new books I needed to order for my lesson changes. Phew!
So today, can you do two Mr. Linkies, one for yesterday and one for today? That’s if you have a post for yesterday. Maybe your day was as hectic and emotionally draining as mine was. In that case, cut yourself a break and just do today’s. =0) Me? Well, I’m going to try out two lipsticks today. It just might make my day.

Okay so I’m back. I’m tired ya’ll. I’m REAL tired. I have a picture unfortunately to prove it. I took a nice nap today and everything but it didn’t seem to change much. I had to soften up my picture just so ya’ll could handle checking out my lipstick. Apparently, when I’m REAL tired, I start writing with a southern accent…
Anyhoo, WHIPPED BERRIES is the topic at hand. I do like this color but it is very similar to my regular color range. So not much of a stretch but pretty none the less.
I blame this picture all on Children’s Place. The mental strain of trying to remember what sizes I needed in what clothing items, for which child… and the physical workout of battling other moms for the same t-shirts, trying to beat each other to the checkout line (when you start eye-balling each other’s loads of clothing to purchase… well, let’s just say to start making mental notes of who you DON’T want to be behind!) and of course, keeping the continuous line of food and snacks flowing to the four munchkins who are every bit as tired as you are from five straight days of late bedtimes and some missed naps. It just wasn’t pretty ya’ll (there I go again!).
But I’m headed to bed now so that tomorrow’s lipstick has a fighting chance of being put on a half-way decent face tomorrow. No lipstick likes having to compete against the dreaded dark bags under the eyeballs that scream for attention. Although, as a plus, tomorrow is free movie at the theater so maybe I can catch some shut eye during the CareBears movie…? Ya think??

My worst fear has been realized…. Hubby has found me out! He saw my blog posts yesterday and of course he quickly offered to take pictures for me. He faked some hurt feelings when I turned his offer down. And my response to his question why was to point to this sentence in my first post: “Right about now I’m just hoping I can figure out how to take a picture of myself so I don’t have to endure Hubby’s tortuous teasing if I have to ask him to take one for me…”
What was his reaction to reading that? He burst out laughing. He KNEW I’d totally called it. And he KNEW he wouldn’t be able to NOT tease me. Even though he said he wouldn’t. Uh huh! I know him all right. =0)
So this morning, I took another self-portrait. Another severely lacking self portrait. But I’ll stick to those thank you very much, when my alternative includes the life-long torture of a man’s perspective on this very serious challenge.
This morning was Pink Satin with a touch of Pink Diamonds lip gloss. Love the sparkle. It’s pretty much a repeat of the previous pink but with a pink top it looks much better. What do you gals think?

By the way, I think you all did a fabulous job with not only your colors yesterday but also your self-portraits. Those suckers aren’t easy to take!
Case in point, my photo for today!! Do I need to even say it’s a horrible picture?? Nah, probably not. Anyway, today I tried Apple Berry. I liked it but it was a tad to bright so I toned it down a bit with the Cream and Sugar lip gloss. I think it toned it down too much since it then looked very close to my usual colors. So I give myself an “F” today since I didn’t step out of my comfort zone. Sorry gals.
I’m sure you gals all did MUCH better than me.

Alright ladies (or guys if any of you dare to even lurk), here’s my new lips for today. I tried Paradise Pink lipstick with Pink Diamonds lip gloss.
Whatcha think? I have to confess, I tried this the other day. I just couldn’t help myself. And I was wearing pink when I did. I did like it a lot more then than I do today. I think I’ll end up getting these ones so that I have a pinkier color to go with my pink tops (I’m normally a very neutral lip color wearer). Here I think I look a tad too eighties… nice and bubblegum pink!
I promise this is the only color I cheated with. I have no idea what color I’ll be grabing out tomorrow… so be sure to check in. I’m pretty sure you’re not going to want to miss it.
