It’s been a while since I’ve participated in an I Heart Faces contest. But I’m back in the saddle again! This week’s contest is dramatic black and white. This photo was taken at a recent downtown photo shoot. Enjoy.
This week’s challenge is for “completely candid” shots. I don’t know about other moms but having three boys and a very animated daughter, well, the hard part is NOT getting a candid sometimes.
This picture is one of my all-time favorites. The boys were just hanging out, munching on their morning apple snack. I love Monkey’s laughing face and Tiger’s somewhat melancholy look, the dirty bottoms of feet, the animal cups and the skinned up knees. Just seems to ooze boyhood and brothers to me. I realize the bottoms of feet are usually a no-no in photography but I think this picture proves it’s not a hard and fast rule… sometimes the bottoms of feet can reveal the charm of the moment.
In this case that’s dirt.
This week I missed the photo contest but they have a “For Fun” Pet Photo Entry. Lucky for me, I have a plethra of pet photos… in fact, it’s hard to choose one. But alas, I must.
This was from late spring/early summer. She loved to play in the water from the hose (still does). But being a baby, she’d poop out after awhile and go find a warm spot in the sun for a nap.
So, as usual, I’m late in the game on this one. I just found out about iHeartFaces. I’m loving this site and I’ve barely even scratched the surface of it. They have a contest going on right now for beach pics. I LOVE beach photography so of course I have to jump in.
Here’s my entry:
I’m a day late for this but I’m still joining in. It’s just too fun. Hosted by the lovely 4 Little Men and Girly Twins, this week we were to pick our 44th picture out of our November ’07 photo folder. I had several folders for November… what can I say? It’s a big picture month. But half of them didn’t count because they were actually October photos that I didn’t download until November. Oops.
But I’ll quite typing and just get on with the picture! Here it is.
It’s a picture of Lil Blue, at 14 months, trying desperately to get back on the carousel. Before you start feeling bad for the little guy, he’d already ridden it several times. He just didn’t want to EVER stop. Reality bites. Big time.
Thanks for looking and go check out all the other random photos…
4 Little Men and Girly Twins is hosting another Random Picture Challenge. This week’s picture is pulled from August 2007, photo #30.
This is Poppett at her very first riding lesson. She instantly loved it. Almost a year and half later she’s still going strong. She still rides Frosty (pictured here) but occasionally gets to ride Lil Black who is significantly bigger. I’m always proud of her because she’s never afraid, listens to her teacher and works hard.
And I’m jealous…
In a good way. =0)
